Personal Profile
Josh is an Architectural Graduate and is putting his dedication and success in academia to carefully crafting buildings, spaces and urban environments in a variety of sectors, including sport & leisure, seniors living, healthcare and education, as well as residential. With years of industry experience, Josh has developed a broad range of skills in the delivery of architectural projects and has an exceptional eye for detail and proficiency in documentation.
In academia, Josh's interest in the intersection of Architecture and Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) has led to some interesting research by design propositions. DRR and the United Nations Sustainable Development Goals are closely intertwined, with Josh spending 2018 at the United Nations Institute for Training and Research, representing the University of Newcastle at the 12th United Nations Youth Workshop addressing Green Infrastructure for Climate Resilience in Jeju, South Korea. Josh then completed further UNITAR training in Sustainable Development and Disaster Resilience at UNITAR's headquarters in Seoul, South Korea.

Graduating from Australia's most studio based Master's program with distinction, during my masters program I researched the impact that architecture and design could have to respond to climate change, before embarking on a thesis titled "Regenerating Sporting Spaces" - exploring through parametric design how to return the stadium to the urban core as an active urban amenity, while also returning these recreational spaces to the public as a public amenity.
